David Steffan is a multi-talented artist who dons the moniker of Priceless Lion. The enigma is at the fulcrum of an evolving music scene. Priceless Lion is a very different and uniquely wired musician who isn’t afraid to break the rules and push the boundaries of our perception with his deeply layered and well-crafted production. Born in Springfield IL and raised in, Omaha NE, his drive, focus, and tenacity will lead him to become a relentless and unstoppable force in the independent circuit. Born with mild cerebral palsy which limits the range of motion in his left arm and leg. He grew up being bullied and facing all forms of challenges in life. However, he overcame adversity and trauma from his past and he will use his story to reshape future generations. Music is the vehicle by which he expresses himself, he began making music in 2006 writes lyrics that draw from his experiences and by using his musical acumen he articulates stories and shared perspectives that will connect with audiences across the spectrum. Priceless Lion combines various unique and experimental sounds with his intricate melodies and dabbles in various contrasting flows resulting in Hip-hop centered fusions that are still firmly stitched together by emotive undertones. Priceless Lion cites icons such as Nelly, MGK, and Michael Jackson, as pivotal influences in his music. He also wrote, “Let Me,” a song for the athletes of the Special Olympics as well as the follow-up song, “Let Me Anthem” that was made to inspire hearts. This all culminates in Priceless Lion producing an enjoyable, and easygoing musical experience that is authentic and grounded in reality. Having been bullied most of his life for having a disability, Priceless Lion’s overarching ambition is to empower people through his gift and to give hope to those who have been bullied for being different. He is driven by the desire to share emotion through music and to impact lives positively. He hopes to spread awareness on mental health and vulnerability through his music to change the lives of listeners one set of ears at a time teaching everyone that it is okay to be different.

Priceless Lion has garnered plaudits having performed in front of tens of thousands at Special Olympics ceremonies in several states and for international audiences. He has also opened for Nappy Roots, Scarface, Rittz, and Jadakiss during a multi-state tour. He is also a Nebraska Special Olympics Hall of Famer, winning over 50 gold medals, 8 silver, and 4 bronze over the years.
